Founded to further the teaching of stage combat to facilitate creativity and the expansion of the skills and abilities of actors that receive that training.
The BGSC formulation was prompted by the restrictions that were being placed on the skills and development of the teaching being offered and the restriction of the growth of those undergoing that training.
If we are to truely train creative, versatile and adaptable performers then we must not allow ourselves or them to be too restricted by prescriptive procedures that stifle natural learning, growth or creativity.
The BGSC continues to strive develop its onw practice and that of those that teach and are taught under its auspices
