Its been a long time, a year since the last post.
Lots of assessments, the Fight Factories at LAMDA in April and June, Fight Nights, John Waller's death, the death of John Greenwood etc have all made things go slow since the last posting here.
None the less the teaching assessment of international students are our schools continue.

Royal Armouries Combat interpretation internship
Internship (Performance and Combat Demonstrations)
37.5 hours per week between July and December 2018

The Royal Armouries cares for one of the world’s oldest museum collections, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.
We’re looking for a keen, committed performer and stage fighter to intern with our Live Interpretation Team in Leeds for six months between July and December 2018.
During the internship you will train with our in-house display combat specialists to learn and perform a range of historic combat choreographies and dramatic performances both in and out of armour, as part of a daily and special event programme designed to bring our national, iconic and unique collection to life. You will also have the opportunity to work with our world-class Collections team to enhance your knowledge and understanding of original arms and armour from antiquity to the modern day.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated and passionate performer, will have studied drama and dramatic combat, and will be an adaptable, enthusiastic learner too! A new Year Begins

The Next Big Thing...
SO we now start the build up for the June Assessment taking place over the 19th/20th
This is the big one with Fight Night on Monday and the assessment Tuesday
This year will be a double whammy...
It will be the 40th Fight Night. Started in the Silver Jubilee year by John Waller in the garden outside LAMDAs then location in Tower House on the Cromwell road....
40 years later the Anniversary Fight Night will be in;
LAMDAs brand new theatre which is part of the new block that has been built on LAMDAs newer location Near Hammersmith.
The theatre will be officially opened the week before so Fight Night 40, will be the first production to take place in the new Theatre..
Onwards and Upwards...

LAMDA Assessment Saturday 8th April, 2017
We had a busy 5 days preparing 84 people at LAMDA for assessment at Standard, Advanced and Specialisation...Doing 8-12 hour days
On Saturday it was the assessment, another long one...
Jonathan Howell came up from Bristol to assess and did his usual encouraging job working with the students and giving them feed back.
Jonathan Jaynes worked the prep room where the studnes were warming up.
Jonathan and Kristina were in the room with Jonathan Howell.
All 84 students passed and got good grades...
Now we have a little time before we start the build up for the June exam...

Here we are in April.... Since there was last a post, we have had Assessments at;
LAMDA in June 2016 after Fight Night 39 at the Greenwood Theatre London Bridge.
In the Autumn we had a Foundation Level Presentation/Assessment at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama
